About the role:
Refocus is looking for a middle+ Learning Experience Designer!
We are looking for educators who are brave enough to work in a global environment and design the learning experiences for people of South East Asia.
What you will do:
Analysis:
  • interpret data, gained from reseach conducted by product researcher;
  • work closely with Subject Matter Experts on creating the content outline of the program and on formulating authentic problems and program goals.

Design:
  • determine learning goals, learning outcomes\objectives using appropriate analysis methods;
  • define an instructional design approach;
  • create the instructional design outline of the program (the duration of the program, the number of modules\units\lessons, the teaching strategies and formats);
  • match teaching strategies with learning outcomes. 

Develop:
  • work closely with SMEs and content producers on creating the training materials: text, videos, assessment methods (quizzes, homework, and project assignments);
  • write facilitator guides and activity manuals.

Implement and evaluate:
  • design the assessment system of the program;
  • gather feedback from all the stakeholders: students, internal reviewers, and SMEs;
  • create the backlog of LXD changes that need to be implemented in the next iteration of the program;
  • Learning Experience Design;
  • apply motivational design strategies to the program;
  • design the learning environment of the program (socio-cultural and technological aspects of it).
What we expect from you:
Work Experience
At least 2 years of work experience in either instructional design or learning experience design. Experience in any of the following fields is a plus: teaching, facilitating, training delivery, content creation, e-learning development.

Knowledge and Skills
  • Understanding of all stages of instructional design processes (e.g., ADDIE, SAM...);
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles;
  • Knowledge in systems and tools used in the development of online training content;
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate information and ideas clearly, and concisely, verbally and in writing;
  • Ability to manage time effectively and efficiently;
  • Technology literate, can easily work with new software;
  • Self-motivated and directed with keen attention to detail.

Education
A degree or certification in any of the following (or similar) fields is a plus, but not required: Education, Educational Technology, Distance Education, Instructional Design, Journalism, Translation.

Working Environment
  • The remote-first company, you can work from anywhere;
